Orla is chartered physiotherapist who graduated from The Royal College of Surgeons (RCSI), Dublin and has been working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for the past 8 years. She has gained significant experience working with Dublin based sports physiotherapy clinics during which she handled elite level athletes on a day to day basis. In addition to this she has spent 5 years working for Middle East’s largest private medical group, Mediclinic, during which she managed a busy physiotherapy department, as well as dealing with a large amount of the post-operative rehabilitation of local athletes. Orla’s area of interest is in sports rehabilitation with focus on the treatment of both chronic and acute injury. She has vast experience pitch side as well as clinic based and has worked as physiotherapist for Dubai Celts Gaelic Football Club, Synge Street/Templeogue Senior Football Club, Trinity rugby team, travelled on tour with the Irish netball team and has been involved in the rehabilitation of prominent Shamrock Rovers and Fingal Utd footballers. Orla has had the opportunity to gain a large amount of experience internationally. She has carried out Clinical Pilates qualifications in Singapore, Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy from South Africa and Dry Needling courses from Dubai. She is also an accredited acupuncturist and member of the British Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. Orla is a keen sportswoman with a love for Gaelic Games, having played intercounty minor Gaelic football with Wexford before continuing her football in Dublin with Clontarf senior ladies football club and more recently with Dubai Celts. She has also played badminton at county and provincial level and currently is enjoying club badminton. Enda has been a goalkeeping coach for more than 8 years and has worked with various teams and individuals including Armagh and is currently in his third year with Monaghan Senior team where he works with the senior keepers on a weekly basis. Enda has also worked with several clubs including Clontibret and Emyvale.

Over the past year Enda has held a goalkeeping development program for kids and plans to hold a goalkeeping camp over the summer to develop young keepers from 10 onwards.

Enda has completed foundation and Level 1 at GAA, also holds FAI kick-start, Level 1 and kick-start to Goalkeepng. ITEC Level 6 in Health Promotion and Sports Development. Enda has also completed many other courses including FAI Strength And Conditioning, K&C Phase 1 Strength and Conditioning.

Enda's main interest is to develop goalkeepers of all ages and to work on aspects of goalkeeping including Kick Outs, high balls, shot stops, strength and conditioning.

John Thomas Treanor  has a passion for improving the health of individuals in their day to day lives and maximising performance of athletes who compete at the all levels.

Holding a Bachelors Honours Degree in Sports and Exercise Science and a Masters Degree in Exercise Nutrition from University of Ulster he has worked with professional Rugby in Ireland and Australia. Most recently with Super 14s Rugby Union Melbourne Rebels as an assistant performance nutritionist, gaining experience and knowledge working with some of the best Sport Science and Nutrition related professionals in the southern hemisphere. He has also worked with athletes at sub elite and amateur levels in a range of sports as well as in the private sector with individuals referred for varied health risk factors and goals such as pre diabetes, obesity, other metabolic disorders and weight loss.

John Thomas believes in developing nutrition and exercise strategies which are best suited for each individual’s personalities and goals. He thrives to maximise performance of athletes through applying the best methods of practise available through evidence based research in the field physiology and nutrition.

With his background in Sport Science and Strength and Conditioning he has a keen interest in the relationship between training load, athletic development and performance as well as the implementation of progressive training program design for athletes.

Having recently moved home to Ireland he is excited in using his knowledge and experience to aid his client in achieving their own individual goals.

Shea McAleer is a specialist sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist with over 8 years’ experience as a sports physiotherapist. He spent 5 years working at the highest professional sporting level, three years as senior physiotherapist at Exeter Chiefs Rugby Football Club and two years as lead physiotherapist at Munster Rugby. His work with Munster Rugby, Exeter Chiefs and the Sports Institute of Northern Ireland placed him in a privileged position to work with some of the world’s most respected sports medicine practitioners, elite athletes and allied sports professionals. He has worked as physiotherapist to the Derry GAA senior footballers, Monaghan GAA U21 football, Monaghan GAA senior hurlers, UUJ Sigerson Cup squad 2009 and head physiotherapist to Dungannon Swifts Football Club in the Irish Premiership in 2009/10.

He completed a National Certificate in Applied Physiology and Health Science from IT Carlow in 2003 prior to completing an honours degree in physiotherapy from the University of Ulster at Jordanstown. He is currently undertaking a Masters (MSc.) in Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy from the University of Birmingham and strength and conditioning qualification via the United Kingdom Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA).

He gained significant experience working in the NHS (UK) completing rotations in orthopedics, musculoskeletal outpatients, plastics (hand injury rehabilitation), intensive care unit (ICU), neurological rehabilitation and general medicine wards. He has also practiced extensively in musculoskeletal, spinal and sports medicine private practices both in the UK and Ireland treating patients of all ages both young and old from the professional, semi-professional and amateur background. His special interests include lower limb biomechanics, chronic lumbar spine (lower back) dysfunction and athletic groin pathology. He is currently involved in research into the management of osteitis pubis/pubic bone stress in professional soccer players using a non-operative rehabilitation protocol.

He was previously a keen sportsman and played intercounty Gaelic football with Monaghan at minor, U21, senior level and won a Sigerson cup with UUJ in 2008. He also played soccer with Monaghan United and Stella Maris (Dublin League). DBSM Athletic Development Coach

James is a strength and conditioning coach who has coached amateur, elite and professional athletes from a variety of sports including Soccer, Basketball, Golf, Rugby, GAA, Boxing, Motorsport, Swimming, Athletics, Triathlon and Taekwondo. He holds an honours degree in Sports Management and Coaching from Institute of Technology Blanchardstown. Upon completing his honours degree he undertook an internship with the National Athlete Development Academy in Dublin before furthering his studies with an Masters in Coaching and Exercise Science from University College Dublin. He is further certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and holds a number of coaching qualifications in athletics, soccer, rugby and Dartfish Performance Analysis.

James has a wide range of experience designing and delivering athletic development programmes to both individual and team sport athletes. At DBSM James also works closely with the physio department in delivering return to play programmes to athletes and coaching MS and Parkinson’s patients through their rehabilitation programmes. James biggest areas of interest would be Long Term Athlete Development and sports performance while his coaching philosophy is based on supporting athletes/clients in achieving their performance and health goals by providing an encouraging, educational and enjoyable environment to train in.
